When including a bequest provision in your will, always use our full legal name. Have you said: the American Red Cross , a non-profit 501(c)(3) Corporation, headquartered in , ?

Be as clear as possible in describing what you want. Have you clearly stated the amount or percentage you would like to leave the American Red Cross and whether the gift is unrestricted, restricted or permanently endowed?

Sometimes we are able to resolve specific concerns. If you’ve restricted your gift, have you included language that allows the American Red Cross to use the funds in another manner in the event the purpose your gift supports is no longer relevant?
